Re: Putting clock back an hour help
I also had problems with setting time on the Columbus in Vehicle/Settings/Time and Date. I had to change from GPS setting to Manual and then manually set the time. Stayed set to right time after that. I would have thought that GPS would automatically change the time but didn't.

Re: ISO Fixings
I used a Maxi Cosi Family Fix base with a Pebble rear facing car seat for grandson when he was a baby and now use a forward facing Pearl car seat on the same base. Have had no issues with fitting to the car at all. By sliding the middle seat back rest one notch forward we can then sit 2 adults and t...

Re: Isofix query
Not had 2 child seats in the back but regularly have a Maxi Cosi with a family fix base and 2 adults. The only thing I do is move the centre rear seat slightly forward to make it more comfortable for the person sitting in the middle.

Re: door handle creaking?
Now had my 1.5 Edition for about 4 weeks and put on over 1,000 miles. No creaks from the door handles, in fact I am really impressed by how quiet the car is even with the 19" wheels. Average fuel consumption is 45 mpg, mainly motorway driving including 600 mile round trip to South Coast during ...

Velvet Red 1.5 Edition
After 2 weeks and a 500 mile round trip to Bournemouth I'm really impressed with the quietness, comfort and ease of driving, far better than our Octavia.

Re: Care Connect? Infotainment Online?
I use my mobile as a wifi hotspot whilst I decide whether to get a data sim for the car. Found Skoda Connect really useful. Set up a sat nav destination on my phone and it then downloads to the car when I get in and connect the phone to the car. I have also used Skoda Connect on the car to find a pe...

Re: Care Connect? Infotainment Online?
After 500 miles I'm getting 45mpg on a motorway run driving at a steady 70mph. Around town I'm getting about 30mpg. Similar to what I first got on the 1.4 Octavia.

Re: To GAP or not to GAP...
I have taken out a 3 year GAP policy mainly because I have bought the car on a PCP. Check 3rd party insurer costs and then negotiate with the dealer. They are always keen to sell GAP and so will always negotiate a better total package price for trade in, car and extras with GAP. The package cost wil...

Re: Disconnecting battery
Rather than disconnecting the battery why not fit a solar trickle charger.

Re: Velvet Red
From the showroom colour sample I was expecting it to be darker. More like the rio red of our Octavia.
