No. Try it, start the engine and then get out of the car with the key. You get a warning that the key is out of range but the engine will continue to run.

The range with the existing AdBlue® tank fill level can be seen in one of the options in the driving data in the instrument cluster display.
Its described in the manual in the 'Engine,Exhaust system & Fuel' section under the 'Adblue' section

That sounds like the warning and noise made when you open the drivers door with the engine running.
Do you also get a 'door open' icon ?
Possibly a faulty door sensor/limit switch
