The tip (I think from Colin) on here about giving your steering wheel a slight turn to make the engine start up again when it's been stopped really changed my opinion on the stop start and removes that roundabout anxiety :D

yeah - would second that with Waze - far better traffic reporting, hazards etc - I never use in car sat navs (unless I'm somewhere without a mobile signal which is increasingly rare) as they are all a bit rubbish

Thanks for the responses - I guess the additional soundproofing may be the route to go although as you say it does look a bit of a faff - I guess for now I will live with it and see if it's something that bothers me less once the newness has worn off

Cabin Soundproofing

Hi all, just traded in my Qashqai for a 1.6TDI SEL Karoq - Whilst it blows my previous car out of the park in pretty much all areas, the one thing I have noticed is the background rumble from the diesel engine is much more noticable in the Karoq cabin- I've previously had 1.5 TDI Yeti and a 2.0 TDI ...
