Re: Updating satnav

Hi folks As my free Skoda Connect account for my 70 reg Karoq is about to expire, and I dont intend to pay for a subscription, I dont need all the bells and whistles,I have also been persuing the question of offline update of satnav maps with Skoda Customer services, and only yesterday they referred...

Re: MIB3 Infotainment - S-Pin?

I have done a bit more research, and found a you tube video. It appears that I must have entered an S pin when I first set myself up as Primary User, although I couldnt even remember even doing it, let alone what it was! All I remember was a bizarre ritual involving the need to have both keys in the...

MIB3 Infotainment - S-Pin?

I have had my Karoq four months now, and, after some difficulty, managed to register myself as the Primary User on the infotainment system about a week after that. Up until now, when I turned on the infotainment, I selected myself as the user and everything worked. Suddenly, I find that when I selec...

Re: SOS Error: Emergency Call Workshop!

You are absolutely right, Chris. Like a lot of things today, there is an assumption on the part of manufacturers of cars that every driver wants all this complicated software, they simply dont recognise that there is anyone out there who really doesnt care if they cant see where their car is parked ...

Re: Semi-conductor shortage.

"Just in time" is proving a mixed blessing for motor manufacturers. My daughter in law works in purchasing for the biggest UK maufacturer and she tells me that orders for all parts are normally placed with suppliers on a "minimum volume" basis, with provision in the contract for ...

Re: Service/Nav queries

Answer to question 2 is no. VW/Skoda seem to think that this common feature in just about every other satnav I have used, both in- car and separate, is not needed. In my opinion the MIB-3 Sat Nav is just about the worst I have ever used. Once I can sort things out I shall be using something much mor...

Re: SOS Error: Emergency Call Workshop!

2020 Karoq, 1500 miles approx. (Registered by Skoda UK September 2020, sat unused till July 2021 when they released it to a dealer, from whom I bought it with just 100 miles on the clock) Just had the "SOS not working, visit workshop" warning come up today while I was on the M42. The liitl...

Re: Karoq SE L 70 Plate-Amundsen Infotainment

I did purchase the car from a Skoda dealer, but one that is over 100 miles from my home, as they had this very low mileage car in stock and gave me a good price for my old Octavia.
I will see if the local dealer, who serviced my Octavia for the last four years, can help.

Re: Karoq SE L 70 Plate-Amundsen Infotainment

I have just purchased a 70 plate Karoq SE Technology with Amundsen MIB3 and find the "infotainment" system far too complex for my needs. I dont need or want an internet connected system, the Amundsen system in my 16 plate Octavia was simple and adequate for my needs, and I foolishly assume...
